SHY+FLO are hairdresser entrepreneurs whose playing field extends to many disciplines. From the very beginning, SHY+FLO have connected like soul mates and have uncompromisingly lived out their visions and dreams. SHY+FLO stand for creativity, technical ability and artistry people who love the fashion world.
Since opening their own salon in 2013, they have continuously designed their own collections and have tirelessly worked their way through the fashion world on a wide variety of international projects. They have received countless nominations and awards.
Their large 2-level Salon in the middle of the trendy quarter of Zurich is in an old viaduct arch. The truly historical place creates a free creative atmosphere. The interior design is derived from Japanese architecture, reduced minimalist and technical, but also very traditional at the same time.
They create eccentric looks for fashionistas and especially for people for whom hair is more than just a headdress. They design a holistic look, which emphasizes the individuality of people in an artistic way. What distinguishes them is a wide range of techniques and styles that can pick up almost any character wherever they are. They love to colour hair freely and independently and defy many restrictions and standards. Age, nationality and profession are not mandatory guidelines for them when designing a new look in the salon. Rather the new feeling and the image that goes along with the new look are the focus of the consultation. They love to colour hair intuitively, like to be controlled by their gut feeling, backed up by their years of know-how.
For SHY+FLO, colouring hair should be fun and inspire. It should express the feelings. They especially blossom when they design new looks for collections. Here they explore the limits of hair colouring. The hair of the models stands symbolically for the artist's canvas. Detached from any conformity, the two drift in the space of hair ideas and project their impressions onto the models' heads.
They have been deeply involved in education and training in the industry for a number of years. they have given countless training courses at home and abroad, in which they have passed on their refined way of dealing with hair.
Since 2012 SHY+FLO is a Brand Ambassador of Schwarzkopf Professional in Switzerland. In 2021 SHY+FLO created a colour technique for the international Essential Looks Campaign 1:2021 of Schwarzkopf Professional.
