BELÉN NARANJO JOSE URRUTIA HAIR SALON

The hairdresser Belén Naranjo feels the profession and, above all, its artistic and creative side as an exercise of personal and professional freedom. For her, art must be transgressive and break the limits. If not, it cannot be considered art.

She began to train as a hairdresser at 17 at the Llongueras academy, where she learned the most basic concepts.

She has continued training and has taken specific courses with top-level professionals such as Llongueras, Aduho, Jorge de Sancho, Diana Mota, Carlos Valiente, Vidal Sassoon in Berlin, and, of course, the most important and enriching training, with his mentor Jose Urrutia, director of the Jose Urrutia Hairdressing salon, with whom he has worked every day for some years. He has become her teacher, and she tries to "absorb all his good work and magic" from him, in her own words. During her career, she has worked in different cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, and now Bilbao.

As a creative hairdresser, despite her brief career in this field, she has received important awards:

  • Finalist in the Best Commercial Collection category at the AIPP Awards (2021-2022)
  • Finalist in the Cut & Colour category at the Visionary Awards (2021)
  • Winner in the Female Commercial category at the Fígaro Awards (2021)
  • Semifinalist in the Female Commercial Collection category at the TCT Awards (2019)

Likewise, she has collaborated with Jose Urrutia in the shootings of her collections, as well as with fashion, makeup, and photography artists such as Visory, Candy Mott, Nacho Sanz, and Esteban Roca.
